Taliesin West, Frank Lloyd Wright’s studio, school of architecture, and home in the Arizona desert, is universally recognized as a modern masterpiece

It began as a “desert camp” in 1937 and continued to evolve throughout his life.
Today it represents the summation of Wright’s ideals of “Organic Architecture” – an approach to building “appropriate to place, appropriate to time, and appropriate to man.”

In order to better understand the enduring meaning and significance of Taliesin West, Bruce Brooks Pfeiffer, Director of the Frank Lloyd Wright Archives, first provides an in-depth overview of Wright’s remarkable life and career.  He then focuses on Taliesin West, relating everything from its origins, innovative use of materials, and experimental construction methods, to Wright’s orchestration of architectural concepts.
Mr. Pfeiffer conjures an intimate portrait of  Taliesin West from the perspective of someone who has lived and worked there for nearly six decades.

Now available as a Special Edition with Interactive Tours and VR Panoramas.
